I don’t often order chicken when I go out to eat — I make plenty of it at home — but I decided to try the pollo al limone at Bar Dough the other night, and boy am I glad I did.
The pan-seared half of a Mary’s Farm chicken is served with pan sauce, grilled lemon and mustard frill. The boneless chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside and really juicy on the inside. I might not ever order anything else ever again!
But if I do, I’ll probably go back to my old standby the commendatore pizza. It’s topped with garlic oil, aged mozzarella, montasio, fennel sausage, prosciutto and sopresso. It’s what I would have gotten if we hadn’t ordered the meatballs and garlic bread — which I highly recommend — as an appetizer.
You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but now I have two favorites!
